An-Naba
Sūrat an-Nabaʼ[1] (Arabic: سورة النبأ, "The Tidings", "The Announcement") is the seventy-eighth chapter (sura) of the Quran with 40 verses. It is forty verses are divided into two equal parts of twenty verses each. The first twenty verses are filled with the wonders of the worldly creation (the earth, plants, the peace of night, the mountains and rain). The latter twenty verses arewith the eternal wonders and horrors of the next world with raging sinner (the Arabic root TGY "tageena" is used) being punished starkly opposed with the rewarding of dutiful believers (the Arabic root WQY "mutaqeena" is employed as a poetic parataxis to TGY) in paradise.[2]

Hadith
- Abu Ishaq narrated from Ikrimah ibn Abi Jahl, from Ibn Abbas who said: "Abu Bakr [may Allah be pleased with him] said: 'O Messenger of Allah! You have become gray.' He said: 'I have gone gray from Hud (surah), Al-Waqi'a, Al-Mursalat and `Amma Yatasa'alun (An-Naba) and Idhash-Shamsu Kuwwirat (At-Takwir).'"[3]
