Amity University, Mumbai

Amity University, Mumbai (AUM) is a Private University, established by the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation,[1] New Delhi, a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It has been awarded as University of the Year - Western India Region at Indian Education Awards.

AUM is the Official University Partner of Mumbai City Football Club.[2]

Recognition and Accreditation

It is a State-Private University, established under Government of Maharashtra Act No. 13[5] of 2014 and is recognised as per Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act (1956), with the rights to confer degrees. As per law, Universities do not require approval of AICTE, to start or conduct technical programs.[6]

Campus

Being surrounded by Greenery Nature of Bhatan village of Raigad district (Panvel, as the nearest city), it is certified as Green Campus with many Plants and Trees nurtured, has Air-Conditioned Academic Blocks, equipped with 100 Mbit/s Wi-Fi connectivity. Sports are praised both Indoor & Outdoor such as Basketball, Badminton, Carrom, Cricket, Chess, Hockey, Soccer, Table-Tennis, Tennis, etc. It also facilitates Residential Living for Students and Faculties (Teaching & Non-Teaching).[2][7][8]

AUM officially has been recognised by The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF),[11] which was approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It has ranked First in Not-For-Profit (University Category - Western India).

Events & Happenings

Events such as Aminova (Cultural Events), Technicia (Technology Fest), Sangathan (Sports Meet) and other Seminars are organized every academic year, on a regular basis.[12][13]
