Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) is a private University located in Lohegaon, Pune, Maharashtra, India[2][3][4][5] and belongs to the DY Patil group, a network of educational institutions in India.

Campus

The university has been established under Maharashtra Govt. Act of 2015 of Government of Maharashtra and is approved by UGC. Since then, the university buildings, designed mainly in the classicist style, have been located on an extensive campus on the outskirts of Pune. The campus, called DY Patil Knowledge City, is also home to the renowned DY Patil Dental School. There is also an international school for children on the campus. It also includes natural areas, extensive sports fields, and various canteens. Great importance is attached to cultural life. Music and art festivals, lectures by famous people from science, art or business as well as social work are part of ADYPU campus life.

Departments

The university offers courses in the humanities, social sciences and technology, in which the degrees Bachelor, Master and P.h.D. are awarded. Ajeenkya DY Patil University comprises the following departments:

In 2019, ADYPU was awarded best private university by ASSOCHAM.

International collaborations

ADYPU pays great attention to the development of international collaborations primarily focusing on research projects, student and teacher mobility, and the establishment of joint educational programs. Currently, the university has edX partnerships with Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and further tie-ups with Northumbria University, Queens College, University of South Carolina, and University of Central Lancashire.

Dr Ajeenkya DY Patil is the university's president as well as chairman of Ajeenkya DY Patil Group.[6]
