  1. On June 17, 2020, it was announced that the 2020 playings of the Detroit Football Classic, between Tennessee State and Southern, and the Southern Heritage Classic, between Tennessee State and Jackson State, would both be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[1][2]
