The Jayhawks will attempt to end their 45 game losing streak in road conference games, as well as their 38 game losing streak to teams ranked in the AP poll. If Kansas qualifies for a bowl game, it will be their first bowl game since the 2008 season.

COVID-19 impact

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Jayhawks schedule is subject to change, including the cancellation or postponement of individual games, the cancellation of the entire season, or games played without fans in attendance. Offseason workouts and the spring game were canceled due to the pandemic. On June 20, the University of Kansas announced it had tested 86 football players and 110 staff members. Only one player tested positive and no staff members. One player tested positive for the antibody test, indicating the player had it in the past, but no longer had it.[1]
