2015 Australian Open – Men's Singles

Novak Djokovic defeated Andy Murray 7–6(7–5), 6–7(4–7), 6–3, 6–0 in the final to win the Men's Singles tennis title at the 2015 Australian Open. The defeat saw Murray lose the Australian Open final for the fourth time in his career, becoming the first man in the Open Era to achieve four runner-up finishes in Melbourne.[1][2]

Stan Wawrinka was the defending champion, but he lost in the semifinals to Djokovic.

Roger Federer's streak of eleven consecutive Australian Open semifinals ended when he lost to Andreas Seppi in the third round. The defeat marked Federer's earliest exit from the tournament since 2001.[3][4]

Rafael Nadal was attempting to become the first male player in the Open Era to achieve a double career Grand Slam; he would have been the third man to do so, but he lost to Tomáš Berdych in the quarterfinals.

Nick Kyrgios became the first teenager to reach the Australian Open quarterfinals since Andrei Cherkasov in 1990 and the first Australian to reach that round since Lleyton Hewitt in 2005.[5] Kyrgios also became the first teenager to reach a second Grand Slam quarterfinal since Rafael Nadal in 2006.
