The Zone 8 of Milan (in Italian: Zona 8 di Milano) is one of the 9 administrative zones of Milan, Italy.[1] It corresponds to the north-western sector of the city.

Overview

The zone comprises 6 city parks: Monte Stella, Parco Pallavicino, Campo dei Fiori (today Parco Giovanni Testori), Parco di Villa Scheibler, Parco del Portello, and Parco Franco Verga. Other notable locations include the urban section of Fiera Milano, the city's trade fair center, Chinatown, Cimitero Maggiore, Cimitero Monumentale and Villa Simonetta.

Public transport facilities in Zone 8 include 9 metro stations, 4 railway stations (Certosa, Domodossola, Quarto Oggiaro and Villapizzone), and a number of bus lines.

Subdivision

Zone 8 is composed of four main districts: Porta Volta, Fiera, Gallaratese, and Quarto Oggiaro. Other informally defined quartieri (neighborhoods) in Zone 8 are Boldinasco, Bullona, Cagnola, Campo dei Fiori, Cascina Triulza, Comina, Gallaratese, Garegnano, Ghisolfa, Lampugnano, Musocco, Quartiere Campo dei Fiori, Portello, QT8, Roserio, San Leonardo, Trenno, Varesina, Vialba and Villapizzone.
