Ytre Øksningan (English: Outer Øksningan)[3] is an island in the municipality of Herøy in Nordland county, Norway.[1] Together with Indre Øksningan, it is part of the Øksningan archipelago. The island has an area of 2.1 square kilometers (0.81 sq mi) and a population of 58 (2016).[1] It is connected to the rest of Herøy by Norwegian County Road 166.[1]
