Yeongsan Shin clan (Hangul: 영산 신씨; Hanja: 靈山 辛氏) is one of the Korean clans. Their Bon-gwan is in Changnyeong County, South Gyeongsang Province. According to the research held in 2015, the number of Yeongsan Shin clan’s member was 187426. Their founder was Shin Gyeong who entered Goryeo as one of the Eight Scholars (hanja: 八學士) in Northern Song Dynasty. He was from Longxi Commandery. He passed Imperial examination in 1138 and was appointed as Jinzi Guanglu Daifu (hanja: 金紫光祿大夫) and munha sirang pyeongjangsa (Hangul: 문하시랑평장사; Hanja: 門下侍郞平章事). He was settled in Yeongchwi Mountain (hanja: 靈鷲山) located in Changnyeong County. Then, he founded Yeongsan Shin clan. He got Jeongui (hanja: 貞懿)’s name after his demise.[1][2]
