XebiaLabs is an independent software company specializing in DevOps and continuous delivery for large enterprise organizations. XebiaLabs offers the XebiaLabs DevOps Platform,[1] a solution for Application Release Automation (ARA). The purpose of the platform is to enable IT teams to build software and deliver it to their users faster, more reliably, and with less risk by offering components for continuous delivery of software at large scale. These components include release orchestration, deployment automation, and DevOps intelligence.

The company has over 150 employees and is headquartered in the US in Burlington, Massachusetts, with additional offices in the Netherlands, UK, France, Germany, India, and Spain. Among XebiaLabs customers are General Electric,[2] NASA, KLM[3], KeyBank, Expedia, Paychex[4], ABN AMRO Bank[5], and John Hancock Financial Services[6].

History

Founded in 2008, XebiaLabs was originally backed by Xebia Group, a digital software and services company based in the Netherlands. In 2014, XebiaLabs received funding from its first institutional investor, Updata Partners.[7][8] In April 2015, Derek Langone assumed the role of CEO.[9]

In 2017, new business grew by 117%, as the company added new Global 2000 clients, including AIG, Bank of America, Toyota, Allianz, Davita Healthcare, TD Bank, Scotiabank, Raiffeisenbank, Anthem, and NASA.[10]

In February of 2018, the company announced that it secured a Series B growth investment of over $100M from investors, including Susquehanna Growth Equity and Accel, along with many existing shareholders.[10] As part of the investment, Martin Angert, director at Susquehanna Growth Equity, and Arun Mathew, partner at Accel, joined the XebiaLabs Board of Directors.

Also in 2018, Robert Stroud, former Principal Analyst for Forrester Research, Inc., joined XebiaLabs as Chief Product Officer,[11] and Stephen Gregorio, former Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Black Duck Software, joined the company as EVP and CFO.[12]

The company has two strategic advisors: DevOps author and thought leader, Gene Kim,[13] and CEO and Chief Scientist at DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA), Dr. Nicole Forsgren.[14]
