Wirtland's coins
In 2003 Wirtland released its first gold coin, known as the "Wirtland Crane" (10 International Currency Units, ICU).[2] Wirtland Crane – a 1/10 oz. coin minted in 24 carat gold - became the world’s first gold coin produced by an internet-based (virtual) country.[3] The gold "Crane" was soon followed by the first silver coin "Silver Crane" (2 ICU).[4]
