The Wil–Winterthur railway line is a standard gauge railway line in Switzerland. The line links the city of Wil, in the canton of St. Gallen, with the city of Winterthur, in the canton of Zurich, passing through the canton of Thurgau. It is owned by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).[1]

The 27 kilometres (17 mi) route was opened in 1855 by the Sankt Gallisch-Appenzellische Eisenbahn. It is standard gauge, double track throughout, and is electrified at 15 kV 16 23 Hz AC supplied by overhead line.[1]

Today the line is used by long distance passenger trains between Zurich and St. Gallen. The intermediate stations are served by trains on the Zurich S-Bahn line S35 between Winterthur and Wil.[2]
