Wilbur M. Alter

Wilbur McClure Alter (December 17, 1879 – July 30, 1967) was an American judge who served on the Colorado Supreme Court from 1928–1933 and again from 1944-1957. He served as Chief Justice of the Court from 1955-1957.[1]

He was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in 1879.[1][2] He graduated from the University of Denver in 1904 and received his law degree in 1906.[3]
