Whitehouse High School is a public high school located in Whitehouse, Texas (USA) and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. It is part of the Whitehouse Independent School District located in southern Smith County. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.[2] It has a large budget and a friendly administration. A wide range of classes are taught with class sizes relatively small. The high school is only 12 years old. It is two stories and houses 2 band halls, an auditorium, a gym, an arena and a state of the art culinary kitchen plus a dance team gym. The auditorium at Whitehouse High School is where UIL Region 21 Concert and Sight reading is held every year with other events for UIL Theatre, etc. The auditorium designed by Head band Director and an acoustical engineer is said to be one of the best sounding high school auditoriums in the state. The principal of the Whitehouse High is Dr. Jonathan Campbell. The language options at Whitehouse High School are Spanish, French, American Sign Language.

The Wildcats boys basketball team won the 1977-1978 2A basketball state title.

Band

Directors for the Whitehouse ISD Band Program are Tom Mensch, Daniel Southerland, Scott Smith, Nick Hardy, Chris Huffty, John Gaertner, and Christina Clifton Thomas. The band is the biggest band in East Texas with over 350 members in the high school band! For 47 years the Former head director, Denny Whitley, has been teaching and 27 at Whitehouse High. The band ALUMNI have moved on to some wonderful things. Drum major for the Texas A&M Fightin' Marching Band. Some students have become some of the best known band directors and others have attended prestigious university's in Texas. The band has received:
