Wellfield Community School is a coeducational secondary school located in Wingate, County Durham, England.[1]
The school was formed in 1980 from the amalgamation of Wellfield Grammar School, Wingate Secondary Modern School and Wheatley Hill Secondary Modern School. Yohden Hall School closed a few years later with staff and pupils relocating to Wellfield.[2] today Wellfield is a community school administered by Durham County Council, offering GCSEs as programmes of study for pupils.
In March 2014, the school received a 'Good' rating from Ofsted.
