Waves is an upcoming musical drama film, written and directed by Trey Edward Shults. It stars Lucas Hedges, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Taylor Russell, Alexa Demie, and Sterling K. Brown.

Two young couples experience growing up and falling in love.

In July 2018, it was announced Lucas Hedges, Sterling K. Brown, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Taylor Russell joined the cast of the film, with Trey Edward Shults directing the film, from a screenplay he wrote. Kevin Turen and James Wilson will serve as producers on the film. A24 will produce and distribute.[1][2] In August 2018, Alexa Demie joined the cast of the film.[3]

Filming

Principal photography began on July 9, 2018, in Florida.[4]
