WELS-FM (102.9 FM, Beach Boogie and Blues 102.9) is an American radio station licensed to serve the community of Kinston, North Carolina, United States. The station broadcasts a soul oldies mixed with Carolina Beach music format to eastern North Carolina. The same format is also heard in nearby Greenville on 105.9fm, New Bern on 95.7fm, Jacksonville at 101.1, and throughout the area on 1070 WNCT-AM. The station is owned by Donald W. Curtis, through licensee Eastern Airwaves, LLC, and features news programming from NCNN - North Carolina News Network.

WELS-FM went off the air on November 7, 2012. On February 14, 2013 the station changed to classic hits as "102.9 WELS". The station changed its simulcast to News Talk 1150 WGBR AM.

On June 29th, 2017 WELS-FM changed their format from classic hits to beach music, simulcasting WNCT 1070 AM Greenville.[1]
