Vikas Gupta is an Indian television show producer, creative director, host.[2] He participated in the reality show Bigg Boss as a contestant in 2017 and became the 2nd runner up.[3]

Early and personal life

Gupta was born on May 7, 1988.[1] His brother, Siddharth, is also an actor.[4]

Career

Gupta was the creative head of Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms for shows like Mahabharat, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.[2] He later started his own production studio The Lost Boy Productions which created popular television series Gumrah: End of Innocence, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, V The Serial, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and MTV Webbed.[1] He is also the youngest programming head of MTV India.[5]

In October 2017, Gupta participated in Colors TV's popular show Bigg Boss in its eleventh season and became the 2nd runner up whilst Shilpa Shinde became the winner and Hina Khan became the first runner up.[6] On January 25, 2018, he won a 'TV Personality of the Year' award at the Lions Gold Awards.[7]

He has also acted as a host in IIFA Buzz for International Indian Film Academy Awards 2018. He was shooting for Colors TV's Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 in Argentina.[8]
