Vanaja Girija is a 1994 Tamil comedy film directed by Keyaar. The film features Napoleon, Ramki, Kushboo and Mohini in lead roles. The film, produced by Meena Panju Arunachalam, had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 16 December 1994.[1] The film was remade in Telugu as Mama Bagunnava with Mohini reprising her role. This film is a remake of 1974 movie Engamma Sapatham by the same writer.
Plot
The veterinarian Anand (Napoleon) and the doctor Raja (Ramki) are brothers. Their father Ramanathan (Visu) is a rich retired businessman.
Vanaja (Kushboo) and Girija (Mohini) lives with their mother (Kavitha), their father Shankar (Nizhalgal Ravi) left them when they were young because of Ramanathan. Vanaja and Girija decide to take revenge on Ramanathan by charming their sons.

The main female lead cast was offered initially to Meena and Roja, but both turned out to act as Elder sister to each other and selected to act only on younger sister role. Then Meena was offered for the younger sister role and Kushboo was offered for the elder sister role. But Meena opted out of the film to pair with Ramki, as she only pair with Top actors of 90's. Then finally the younger sister role (Girija) was offered to Mohini which was recommended by KR as he introduced her to the industry.
