Ustylúh (Ukrainian: Устилу́г, Polish: Uściług, Yiddish: אוסטילע‎ Ustile) is a town in Volodymyr-Volynskyi Raion, Volyn Oblast, Ukraine. It is situated 8 miles west of Volodymyr-Volynskyi. Population: 2,200 (2015 est.)[1]

Igor Stravinsky had an estate in Ustyluh and visited it frequently between 1890 and 1914. His mansion is now a museum.

Ustylúh was called Uscilug or Ustilug prior to World War II and had a population of at least 3,200 Jews. Ustilug was bombarded and shelled heavily on the morning of June 22, 1941, the day of the outbreak of war between the Soviet Union and Germany. The town was conquered by the German Army toward evening. Jews were used for slave labor. A Judenrat, Jewish police force and ghetto were established. Groups of Jewish youth were taken from time to time and shot in the valley next to the Jewish cemetery. 900 Jews from the town intelligencia were killed in October 1941. The remaining Jews of Ustilug were transferred to the Volodymyr-Volynskyi ghetto between September 1 and 15, 1942, where they were murdered along with the local Jews in pits that had been prepared in the village of Piatydnie [2].
