The University of Turbat (UOT) (Urdu: جامعہ تربت; Balochi: جامعہ تربت) is a public university situated in Turbat, Balochistan, Pakistan. It was established in 2013[4] and chartered by the Government of Balochistan.[5] It is the second public university chartered by the Government of Balochistan vide Act 2012 passed by the Balochistan Assembly in May 2012. The main objective of the establishment of university in the Mekran region of Balochistan is to provide better opportunities of higher education to the students of Turbat (Kech) and adjoining districts of Panjgur, Gwadar and Awaran. Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir (TI) joined the university as its first and founder Vice Chancellor on 25th May, 2013.
