University of Benin Teaching Hospital

University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) is located along the Benin-Lagos highway. It shares boundaries with the University of Benin main campus and Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) road, Benin City.^[1]

History

Doctors, scholars and managers who have played roles this health institution include Dr. (Mrs) Irene Ighodaro, Prof. Tiamiyu Belo-Osagie, Prof. M. Ogbeide, Prof. Nobert Osamo, all of Blessed memory as well as Mr.F.G.A Cole, Prof J.O Ayanru, and Prof. J. A. Omene all of whom had at one time or the other functioned as board chairman, Provost/Medical Directors or administrators in UBTH.^[1]
