Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center, formerly known as the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, is a hospital located in Plainsboro, Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States, having previously been located in Princeton on Witherspoon Street, until May 22, 2012.[1] The hospital was a member of the Princeton HealthCare System, which was formally incorporated into the University of Pennsylvania Health System in January 2018.[2][3] The addition of the Princeton HealthCare System will make it the sixth hospital in the University of Pennsylvania Health System, which will employ over 3,000 staff and more than 1,000 physicians.[4]

It has no relationship with the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, which was the setting for the medical drama House from 2004 to 2012.

Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center has been successful in its efforts to roll out PennChart by Epic, an electronic health record system. Continuing through the summer of 2018 and into the fall, PennChart Go-Live events will continue to take place. The goal of the EHR system is to unify all medical records for the entirety of the Penn Medicine hospital system, improving the overall care of our patients. For over 10 years Penn Medicine has partnered with Epic and has seen great improvements since using their EHR. Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center takes pride in how they take care of their patients and the implementation of PennChart will improve the efficiency and continuity in that care.

In addition to its affiliation with Penn Medicine, the hospital is also affiliated with the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
