Unity Biotechnology is a startup biotechnology company that aims to develop drugs which target senescent cells with the aim of extending life span.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
The company's products in development include UBX0101, targeting knee osteoarthritis (in Phase I clinical trials as of September 2018), and UBX1967, a preclinical product targeting ophthalmologic diseases.[8] [9] Both are senolytic medicines.
On May 3, 2018, the company went public on the Nasdaq exchange, raising $85 million at a market capitalization of $700 million. [10] [9]
