Thuzana (Burmese: သုဇန; Pali: Sujana), also known as the Myainggyi-ngu Sayadaw (Burmese: မြိုင်ကြီးငူဆရာတော်) is a Karen Theravada Buddhist monk based in Myaing Gyi Ngu, Kayin State, Myanmar. He was formerly a member of the Karen National Union (KNU) until his disagreements with the majority Christian leadership led him to split and create the Democratic Karen Buddhist Organisation (DKBO), of which he was the leader of until its dissolution in 2010.[2]

Thuzana was responsible for a 1992 campaign of constructing pagodas in Kayin State and currently holds the title Myaing Gyi Ngu Sayadaw.[3][4] Thuzana and his followers have also drawn criticism for their ethno-nationalist views[1] and for building pagodas in close proximity to churchs and mosques.[4][5]

This monk must not be confused with another Birmese monk, also named U Thuzana. The latter is in charge with the Tathagata Meditation Centre in San José, California
