Tushar Kalia is an Indian choreographer and Dancer. He specializes in Mayurbhanj Chhau, Kalari and Contemporary dance. He has participated in dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Season 6 & Season 7). He was also the Stage Director of the reality show India's Got Talent (Season 6 & Season 7). He made his career as a choreographer in Bollywood after his first break from Karan Johar in the film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil[1] and judged the reality dance show Dance Deewane.[2]

Early career

Tushar Kalia began his dancing career under the guidance and direction of Shri Santosh Nair, the creative director of ‘Sadhya Unit of Performing Arts’. He is also trained under Canadian choreographer, Brandy Leary for Ariel technique dancing. He has performed with international choreographers for a production in Birmingham, titled, Motherland. Kalia also appeared in Hindi feature film, ABCD: Any Body Can Dance.[3]

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

Tushar entered the competition with dance partner, Ekta Kaul, who got eliminated within few weeks of season. Through a Wild Card Entry, Tushar got a chance to re-enter the competition with another celebrity, Sana Saeed.In Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Season 7 Tushar partnered with Shakti Mohan. Tushar's choreography has been praised by panel of judges.
