Turkman Valley or (Dare-ye Turkman, Dari: درهٔ ترکمن, Hazaragi: درهٔ تورکمون) is a valley in Afghanistan located in Surkhi Parsa District of Parwan Province which is inhabited with ethnic Hazara.[1][2]
Etymology
The name of this valley is derived from the Turkmani, one of the tribes of the Hazara people. Turkmuni tribe is a large tribe of Hazara people in Parwan Afghanistan belonging to Oghuz Turks.[3]
Demographics
The population of the Turkman valley is generally composed of the Turkmen Hazara tribe.[3]
