Tsito-Awudome is a town in the Volta Region of Ghana. The town is known for the Tsito Secondary Technical School and the Awudome Senior High School(also nicknamed 'Mountain Side College').[1][2] These schools are both second cycle institutions. The Town can also boast of a Teaching Centre for distance learning, established by the University of Ghana, legon(Famous to the folks as 'Adult College').

The Town Tsito-Awudome is situated in a mountainous region with its green vegetation cover of the Moist Semi-deciduous Forest cover. Once a town where Ghana Cocobod established it's produce buying centre and warehouse. Economic trees such as Cocoa, coffee, rubber, oil palm, Cola, Avocado, Mango, Citrus and varying species of Timber can still be traced, despite indegenes losing hope in cash cropping. Tsito has a colorful culture of celebrating the Death and resurrection of the Christian Prophet and Messiah Jesus Christ. They begin with a week-long activity of observing Palm Sunday in a grand style. Both old and young are seen late afternoon on Palm Sunday in a street carnival, a grand durbar is organised by the chiefs and people to raise funds to support the development of the Township. Football is a game the people never joke with. It is a common knowledge among the people of Tsito that, former Black Stars Goalkeeper, Richard Kingson, had plied his early days club football with the once famous "Tsito Oak Breakers FC". Many talents in football have however being neglected by the FA officials of Ghana when scouting for players for both the junior and senior sides. As mountain dwellers and Agrarian economy, Tsito citizens are very athletic and most of their youth can be found in the Armed forces of the country. With many occupying senior ranks in the military due to the long inherited skills of the great Hunter and founding fathers of the Town. Jungle warfare has always been the greatest advantage of the kinsmen of Tsito over their enemies.

Citizens of Tsito also share in a very rich culture and festival celebrated by the entire Awudome Traditional Area. This festival has to do with the celebration of Yam as a prestigious staple food of the people of Awudome. During this time, the chiefs and people of Awudome visit their ancestral home in Notsie(present day Eastern To go), a specific town called Kpèlè. A later visit is paid to another ancestral heritage site called Avãkpeta( Awomê). Where tourist attractions such as a tinny rock carrying a very big rock which in ordinary human imagination is impossible. Muddy Lake and for those pure in heart and spirit also see the sacred virgin and lad who were offered to the land by men of old to pave way for the present day dwellers of Awudome land. An ancient cave where our ancestors used to seek refuge whenever they were in the forest hunting and a big umbrella rock with a fountain are other sight seeing attractions. The high lands of Tsito and other Awudome settlements make the best heights for lovers of hiking to view the whole regional capital of the Volta Region with binoculars for a far distance during the sunny and humid seasons of the year.

The town is also blessed to be the gateway to the highest peak in the country(Mt Afadja, and Gemi To), and the high lands of Amedzofe. Tsito also shares in the beautiful history of German civilization to have seen one of the earliest mission schools and church established in the region as in Amedzofe. These two towns coincidentally today fall under one administrative District known as Ho West. The blessings of Tsito cannot be talked about leaving it's beautiful seasonal river, "Tsawê" as she is seen as a mother of the people with her nutritious children of different fish species, (Catfish, Mudfish, Tilapia, Electric fish, and many others).

Tsito, undoubtedly can be seen as a good investor destination for all forms of Agriculture. As it is one of the first Townships in the region to have its citizens practice beekeeping as business. Majority of its farmers still practice organic farming despite the new craze for chemical farming and mono cropping.
