Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin is located on College Green, in Dublin, Ireland. Trinity Business School offers a wide range of programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA levels. The School is ranked 1st in Ireland in the Eduniversal Dean's Rankings, 2017. [1]

History

Established as a School of Commerce in 1925, the School has grown from offering B.A. and B.Comm degrees to offering an MBA programme since 1964 when it was transformed into a School of Business Studies. A full suite of Masters programmes exist today and this began in 1976 when the M.Sc. (Mgmt) degree in Management Practice for practicing senior executives was launched, with a curriculum based on action research principles. The School is part of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences of Trinity College.[2]

High Growth Strategy: Building the Future

Trinity Business School is in the midst of a transformative high growth strategy which was introduced in 2015. [3] It involves the development of new and existing programmes, as well as the construction of a cutting-edge building for the School (that will incorporate an Innovation and Entrepreneurship hub). [4] The new building will open up onto Pearse Street on one side, helping to reinvigorate that street, and overlook the iconic Trinity rugby field on the other. The project is expected to be completed by 2019. In the meantime, Trinity Business School is located on two sites; Aras an Phiarsaigh on the main Trinity campus and another at 152-160 Pearse Street, Dublin 2. Trinity Business School is the fastest growing established business school in Europe and among the highest performers in the Developed World. [5]

Established in 1964, Trinity Business School's MBA is one of the three original MBA programmes in Europe. The QS Executive MBA rankings 2018, place Trinity Business School 1st in Ireland (for the second year in a row), 22nd in Europe, and 52nd in the World. [10] The Economist has ranked Trinity Business School's Executive MBA programme in 44th place worldwide and it is the only Irish Executive MBA programme to feature in the global top 50. [11]

  • DUBES - The Dublin University Business and Economics Society (DUBES) is one of the biggest societies in Trinity College Dublin. Founded in 1929, its aim is to further the academic and social interests of members. [14]
  • Trinity Entrepreneurial Society - The society fosters a spirit of entrepreneurship among students with a range of events and competitions including a high-profile guest speakers' series, an internship evening, a share game, an enterprise competition and skills workshops. [15]
  • Enactus - This social entrepreneurship society creates projects to tackle the problems that exist in our society such as homelessness, hunger and injustice. [16]
  • Trinity Economic Forum - The Trinity Economic Forum is a society that aims to promote discussion and engagement with economic issues. Its premiere event is an entirely student-run economic conference. [17]
  • Trinity SMF - Trinity SMF is the Student Managed Fund which allows students to develop skills in business analysis, investing, risk management and valuations within a secure corporate governance structure where the student executive committee are guided by an advisory board of industry professionals.
