The Totowa Borough Public Schools are a comprehensive community public school district, serving students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in Totowa, in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States.

As of the 2014-15 school year, the district and its two schools had an enrollment of 1,486 students and 79.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 18.8:1.[1]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[3]

For ninth through twelfth grades, public school students attend Passaic Valley Regional High School, which also serves students from Little Falls Township and Woodland Park (formerly West Paterson). The school facility is located in Little Falls Township.[4] As of the 2014-15 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 1,355 students and 104.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.9:1.[5]
