Thomas Byron Courtney (born 2 July 1989) known professionally as Tom Zanetti, is a British rapper, singer, record producer and model, best known for his hit single, "You Want Me" featuring British R&B singer, Sadie Ama which charted in the United Kingdom, Belgium and Ireland.

Career

Zanetti started his musical career at the age of 14, where he was performing for free, until he realised that he could be just put on his own events instead.[8] Zanetti is an entrepreneur,[10] He owns his own companies, most notably Sleepin' Is Cheatin, which provide musical events and entertainment.[11] Zanetti also owns four festivals which have four businesses overseas in Tenerife, Ibiza and Magaluf which are "doing really well", according to his interview with the Official Charts website. Zanetti's also setting up his own clothing label and barbers.[12] Zanetti's interest in dance music was apparent from an early age. Zanetti recorded a CD with him MCing over a bassline before he went to work night clubs in the city, as well as promoting them. Zanetti decided to create music festival, Insomnia, with his business partner, Kane "Kokane" Towning, who he describes as a "brother".[13]

Personal life

Zanetti has lived in Gipton, Belle Isle and Manor Road in Rothwell, Leeds. Zanetti went to school in Rothwell to Royds School and he got expelled and moved to Tinshill Learning Centre until he was 16. Regardless of being expelled, Zanetti claims that he "got on with his work and was in top set for everything", he just wasn't always there and didn't always follow the rules.[14] Zanetti found out he was going to be a dad at the age of 16, which he wasn't prepared for at that age. Zanetti has had many jobs at a young age, which include working in a warehouse, where he made pallets from 6 am to 6 pm, he was also a butcher, window cleaner, bricklayer and milkman. Zanetti's girlfriend, Lizzie died in a car accident on 10 August 2010.[15] Zanetti has one son, Deaconn born on 11 October 2006 [16][17], who has made an appearance in one of his music videos.[18] In August 2018 it was confirmed that Zanetti was in a relationship with Love Islander Hayley Hughes.[19][20][21][22][23]
