Tmetolophota arotis is a moth of the Noctuidae family.[1] It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1887 from specimens obtained from Blenheim, Christchurch and Rakaia.[2] It is endemic to New Zealand.

The larvae feed on Phormium tenax.
