Thomas Tullidge Cullen (born 1977) is an American attorney from Virginia. He currently serves as the United States Attorney for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. He was recommended as a candidate to the post by Virginia Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine.[1] Cullen was previously principal at Woods Rogers PLC, representing clients in complex civil and criminal litigation.[2] He also served as an Assistant United States Attorney in both the Western District of Virginia and the Western District of North Carolina.

Education

Cullen received his Bachelor of Arts from Furman University and his Juris Doctor from William & Mary School of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He served as a law clerk to Judge Roger Gregory of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and to Judge Robert E. Payne of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

U.S. Attorney

On March 22, 2018, his nomination was reported out of committee by voice vote.[3] He was confirmed by voice vote later the same day.[4] He was sworn in on March 30, 2018.

Personal life

His father is former Attorney General of Virginia Richard Cullen.[1]
