Thelma Doris Walker[1] (born 7 April 1957)[2] is a British politician, and the Labour Party MP for Colne Valley constituency,[3] who was elected at the 2017 general election defeating the incumbent Conservative MP Jason McCartney.[4][5]

Walker was educated at Marple Hall Grammar School and Manchester Polytechnic.[6] She trained as a teacher[7] and was head of two schools before setting up as an independent consultant.[8]
