The school is run by Tony Cinquepalmi following the departure of David Green (https://offender.tdcj.texas.gov/OffenderSearch/offenderDetail.action?sid=08990069), who was arrested and now faces trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a number of minor students, along with a variety of staff including licensed therapists, experienced special education teachers, and behavioral specialists. Tony Cinquepalmi received his master's degree and therapist's credentials in the 1980s while David received his Special Education certification in the 1970s. In the early 1990s, while Tony and David were working at the Vanguard Preparatory School in Dallas, they decided to start The St. Anthony School by recruiting existing clients of Vanguard. After appropriating eight students from Vanguard they opened St. Anthony, using the curriculum, behavior model and other resources they had acquired from the Vanguard School during their employment. Vanguard Preparatory School, founded in 1993, continues to serve the social, emotional and academic needs of special needs students on the North Texas area and beyond.
