The Ren and Stimpy Show: Veediots! is a video game based on the Ren & Stimpy cartoon series on Nickelodeon. It was released by THQ for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy in 1993.^[1]

There's no central story line to the game; all four levels are separate stories based on episodes of the TV series. The second half of the first level and the last level took advantage of the show's gross-out humor, and some have reported to be nauseated by—even having thrown up because of—these parts.

Gameplay

The game itself is broken down into four levels, the first two being played as Ren and the second two as Stimpy. In the first level, Ren attempts to disguise himself as a mouse and stage a capture by Stimpy, in order to con a woman into paying Stimpy for pest control services rendered. The stage culminates with Ren navigating the inside of Stimpy's mouth. The second level is based on Ren & Stimpy's enlistment into the army. The third level is based on Stimpy's manufacture of the "happy helmet" in order to alter Ren's mood, and surrounds Stimpy's misadventures in his own homemade laboratory. The final stage is based off the episode "Marooned" which takes place in outer space and on an alien planet. Ren's main attack is slapping, while Stimpy's main attack is licking.

Reception

The SNES version received mixed reviews.^[2] It was praised for fluent controls, well done graphics and good music, but a complaint about the game is the lack of passwords or savepoints. The Game Boy version received rather negative reviews due to restricted controls, bland graphics, weak music, and short game length.
