Quest for the Shaven Yak Starring Ren Hoëk and Stimpy is a 1993 video game for the Sega Game Gear developed by Realtime Associates for Sega of America. The game was based on the Nickelodeon cartoon The Ren & Stimpy Show. While several games featuring Ren and Stimpy were made for multiple game platforms, this particular game was only created for the Game Gear, although Tectoy, Sega's Brazilian publisher, ported the game to the Master System in 1993 exclusively for Brazil.

Gameplay

"Quest for the Shaven Yak" is a 2D platform game and was one of the most successful Game Gear titles for that year. The player could choose to play as either Ren or Stimpy and faced a variety of obstacles in classic platforming environments.

Game levels included The Blacker Than Black Forest, The Stinking Dry Desert, The Stinking Wet Bayou, The Perilous Mt. Höek and The Great Frozen North.

Powerup weapons included a bar of soap for the floating soap bubble attack.

Bosses include a bear, a snake, a leech, a lumberjack and a yeti.

Finish the game to see the "Happy Happy Joy Joy" dance.
