The Left Party of Iran (People's Fedaeis) also known as The Left Party of Iran (Persian: حزب چپ ایران) is an exiled Iranian Social democratic opposition party which was founded in 2018 in Cologne, Germany.[1] Many of the groups founders were former members of the Organization of Iranian People's Fedaian (Majority).
Ideology
The Left Party of Iran did not openly call for overthrow of the Islamic Republic of Iran in its charter, however it defended reaching a "Democratic Republic" through peaceful civil disobedience.[2] There is no reference to communism in the party's charter, and only a vague reference to socialism.[3]
