The Land of Nod is a catalog, internet and retail store company, based in Morton Grove, Illinois,[1] specializing in children's furniture, bedding and accessories. The company designs the majority of their items themselves.

Scott Eirinberg and Jamie Cohen launched the company in 1996 out of Eirinberg's basement in the Chicago suburbs.[2] In 2000, The Land of Nod formed an equity partnership with Crate & Barrel to help expand their presence in the United States market.[2] In 2010, Eirinberg left the company and in February 2011, Cohen left the company.[3]

The store, which has been owned by Crate and Barrel since 2001, was rebranded in March 2018 as "Crate and Kids". The Land of Nod, which only had physical stores in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Washington state, will now appear as "Crate and Kids" in more than 40 Crate and Barrel stores across the country, beginning April 4, 2018.
