The Intern Group

The Intern Group is a provider of international internship programs in Tokyo, Toronto, Shanghai, San Francisco, Dublin, Chicago, Santiago, Chile, London, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Australia, Medellin, Colombia, Madrid, New York City, and Los Angeles.[1]

History

The company was founded and keeps its head office in London.[2] It has offices in New York, Melbourne, Madrid, Hong Kong, Colombia and also Santiago, Chile.[3] In 2011, the company won a place on the Start-Up Chile entrepreneurship program.[4][5]

In 2012, The Intern Group won the entrepreneurship competition at the 6th Summit of the Americas.[6]

In 2013, The Intern Group had nearly 1000 participants in its program.[7]

In 2014, the company qualified as a semi-finalist in the StartmeupHK Venture Programme sponsored by the InvestHK agency of the Government of Hong Kong.[8]

Partnerships

The Intern Group has a partnerships with universities from all over the world. A few partnerships include University of Pennsylvania, Boston University, Northeastern, Kings College London, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,[9] University of Newcastle,[10] the University of New South Wales[11] and La Trobe University[12] in Australia. London School of Economics (LSE), [13] Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC), [14] The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS),[15] Universidad de Mendoza[16] University of Essex[17] and National University of Singapore (NUS), also have partnerships with The Intern Group, providing students with academic credit and financial aid for their internships abroad.[18].
