The Basement Recordings II is a demo release by Canadian singer-songwriter Alexz Johnson and her brother, Brendan Johnson, serving as a sequel to the demo The Basement Recordings which was released in 2011.

Development

The Basement Recordings II consists of demo material recorded by Johnson that has not made its way to a release. The album was announced on Christmas Day 2011[1] and its release was later set for May 1, 2012.[2] It is the sequel album to The Basement Recordings.[3]

Sequel

In December 2012 Brendan Johnson hinted via Twitter that there would be a third installment to The Basement Recordings series. On January 14, 2013, Alexz Johnson confirmed the release of the album. The Basement Recordings III was later released on February 22, 2013.[4]
