Telenor Microfinance Bank (formerly, Tameer Microfinance Bank) is a Pakistani micro-finance bank which is based in Karachi, Pakistan. Founded by Social Impact Entrepeneur Nadeem Hussain in 2006, it grew to become one of Asia's leading Microfinance Banks. [1]

In 2016, Telenor Pakistan acquired Tameer Bank.[1]

In 2018, Ant Financial invested $184.5 million in the micro-finance bank for a 45% stake, marking the Chinese Tech Giant Alibaba's first entry into Pakistan.[2]
