Taylor Elizabeth Louderman is an American actress, singer, and dancer.
Louderman is perhaps best known for originating the role of Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls, a performance for which she was nominated for the 2018 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. Her additional stage credits include the role of Lauren in Kinky Boots, as well as originating the role of Campbell in Bring It On. Louderman also appeared as Wendy in NBC's 2014 live production of the musical Peter Pan.
Early life
Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Louderman lived in the Chicago and Decatur, Illinois, areas before her family moved to Bourbon, Missouri, a small town 60 miles southwest of St. Louis. She is the daughter of Roger and Suzanne Louderman and has four younger sisters, named Hannah, Olivia, Morgan and Madison. At the age of 10 she was cast in the title role of Annie at Ozark Actors Theatre, in Rolla, Missouri.[1][2][3] She grew up appearing in stage productions in the Saint Louis region; after her sophomore year at the University of Michigan, she appeared as Margot, one of the sorority sisters, in Legally Blonde at The Muny.[4] It was while appearing in that production that she learned she'd been cast as the lead role of Campbell in the touring production of Bring It On: The Musical.[5] Bring It On transferred to Broadway in 2012 with the same tour cast, including Louderman, making her Broadway debut.[6]
Louderman, along with costar Ashley Park, has a large presence on social media. She and Park keep their fans updated on their Instagram stories, featuring a variety of backstage antics such as an ongoing series deemed, "Broadway Scares." Louderman also has a recurring segment called "Louderman Lingo" on the Mean Girls YouTube series, "Too Grool For School."
