Tauwhare is a small rural community in the Waikato District on the outskirts of Hamilton. The Waitakaruru Arboretum and Sculpture Park is located here.
There is a Community Committee[2] and a Memorial Hall.[3]
Demographics
The 2006 census counted the Tamahere and Tauwhare area as having a population of 4,623[4] and 5,628 in 2013. Tauwhere is a part of that area, covered by meshblocks 0957700 and 0958200 with a population totalling 486 in 156 households.[5]
