The Tasmanian Electoral Commission (TEC) in Tasmania, Australia, is an independent office established in 2005 which conducts parliamentary and local government elections in Tasmania. Elections for the House of Assembly take place every 4 years and for the Legislative Council every year on a rotational basis. The last election for the House of Assembly was the 2014 state election.[1] The next elections will be for the Legislative Council, on Saturday, 6 May 2017 for the divisions of Launceston, Murchison and Rumney. The next State election is expected sometime in 2022. The next Council elections will be held during September and October 2018.
