Tamman
Tamman[1] ( The city of Sardar's)is a village and Union Council of Talagang Tehsil in Chakwal District of Punjab Province, Pakistan.[2]
Tamman (Urdu, Punjabi: ٹمن) is located 30km towards the west of Talagang City. Mianwali city is just 70km away from Tamman. The main agricultural products of Tamman are Wheat, Groundnut and Chickpea.It is also famous in the whole country for the unique taste of Groundnut being produced there. The language being spoken here is the Dhanni dialect of Punjabi. It has a population of more than 15000 people. Most of the people are Farmers, Business men, and serving in Armed Forces of Pakistan. Politically, Tamman is centre of PMLN and Qauid Azam League of Chaudhary Parvez Ilahi. The seat of National Assembly NA 61 is always won by Sardars of Tamman since from 1966. It is a city of multitalented people. The Hero of 1965 War Air Marshal Malik Noor Khan belongs to Tamman, and his grave is also there. The most honorable and first professor of Tamman was Professor Noor ul Hassan Khan; he is son of Imam Ghazali (greatest Islamic scholar).professor is buried in Masjid Al Hilal Shadhara Lahore.
