TK McKamy (pronounced mc-ka-me:born January 17, 1983) is an award-winning American film director, screenwriter, and editor.

Early life

Thomas Knox McKamy III was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia and raised in the small town of Nicholasville, Kentucky. The son of Knox and Lynn McKamy and the brother to Holly. An avid athlete, TK traveled the US playing competitive soccer and baseball. He attributes the genesis of his film career to his high school, EJSH, where he fell in love with filmmaking and started developing his style of cinematic story telling. After high school, TK spent a summer in Haiti, played soccer at the University of Kentucky and traveled abroad, frequenting Africa to document untouched regions and stories.

Career

Seeing early success in the music video space, TK has garnered many nominations and awards. Represented by Sentient Entertainment, McKamy is developing his debut feature.
