Syed Samsam Ali Shah Bukhari (Urdu: سید صمصام علی شاہ بخاری) (born 5 July 1955) is a Pakistani politician and a former Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from NA-145 (Okara-III) for the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians. He is from the city of Karman Wala, Okara District, Punjab.

Career
Samsam Shah Bukhari first time brought in politics in 2002 by Late Syed Sajjad Haider Kirmani, 5 times MNA and he was District Nazim those days.Syed Sajjad Haider Kirmani was kind enough to support Syed Samsam Bukhari on his own constituency.Syed Sajjad Haider Kirmani was evergreen politician and had served as minister several times, he was uncle of Syeda Jugnu Mohsin MPA. Samsam was an aspirant for PML(Q) ticket but was refused and ticket was given to Syed Gulzar Sabtain. Under the umbrella of Syed Sajjad Haider District Nizam group Samsam, first time ever participated as an independent candidate in elections 2002 despite a commitment with the party not to run as independent and lost with a heavy margin from Syed Gulzar Sabtain(Ex MNA). Samsam again participated in 2008 general elections from PPPP ticket and this time he succeeded to make alliance with ever green local Politician of Ch Zia Ud Din(5 times MPA) and he succeeded to defeat Gulzar Sabtain(Ex MNA). He was given the portfolio of Minister Of State for information due to his strong relations with Asif Ali Zardari. In 2013 he participated 3rd time in general elections 2013 and got only 23000 votes and got 3rd position against an unknown PML(N) candidate Syed Ashik Shah Kirmani who secured 90,000 votes.His defeat was considered a result of his continuous absence from constituency during his tenure and involvement in corruption through his close 4,5 people who performed as contractors to local development projects.He participated in general elections 2018 from PTI ticket and lost by 35000 votes and got 3rd position to Chaudhry Nadeem Abass Rabera(PMLN).He Joined PTI in 2016 with Ashraf Khan Sohna who was able to secure only 5000 votes in by elections against Riaz-ul-Haq Judge independent candidate in 2017.
Personal life
He has traveled to over 40 countries. His hobbies include reading, farming and hunting. He is married with two daughters and a son.[1]
