Sydney Sweeney (born September 12, 1997)[2][3] is an American actress best known for her roles as Haley Caren on In The Vault, Emaline Addario on the Netflix series Everything Sucks!, and as Eden in the Hulu series The Handmaid's Tale. Sweeney also appeared in the HBO miniseries Sharp Objects starring Amy Adams.

Career

Sweeney has guest starred in TV shows such as Pretty Little Liars, Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, 90210, and the series In the Vault as Haley Caren. Sweeney then starred as Emaline Addario on the Netflix series Everything Sucks!, which revolved around two groups of students in high school in 1996 in Oregon.

Sweeney had a recurring role in the second season of the Hulu original series The Handmaid's Tale[4] as Eden, a pious and obedient girl, and appeared as Alice in the HBO miniseries Sharp Objects starring Amy Adams.[5] She will also be seen in the upcoming psychological thriller Clementine[6] and alongside Andrew Garfield in the thriller Under The Silver Lake.[7][5] Sweeney is also starring in the upcoming horror film Tell Me Your Name.[8] In June 2018, it was announced that Sweeney would be starring alongside Zendaya in the HBO pilot Euphoria as Cassie.[9] Sweeney will also star in the film Big Time Adolescence directed by Jason Orley.[10]

Personal life

Sweeney has a younger brother.[11] She currently studies entrepreneurship.[12]
