Adande Thorne, known by his YouTube username Swoozie (stylized sWooZie), is a Trinidadian-American YouTube personality.[1][2][3][4][5][6] As of September 2018, his YouTube channel has over 950 million views.[7] As a professional gamer he competed in Dead or Alive 4 for the Los Angeles Complexity in the Championship Gaming Series and the reality series WCG Ultimate Gamer.[8] In 2015, he signed with the Creative Artists Agency.[9][10] In January 2016, he was one of three people who interviewed President Barack Obama during a YouTube livestream.[11] In 2017, he had a minor role in the film The Space Between Us. Also in 2017, the web series Lace Up: The Ultimate Sneaker Challenge, of which he is the host, debuted on YouTube Red.[12][13]
Personal life
Thorne was born in Trinidad, but moved to Florida when he was seven years old.[14] There, he attended West Orange High School in Winter Garden; he lived in the area for twenty years before moving to Los Angeles.[12]
